If you have just purchased a prenatal heart monitor, you may wonder how to use it. To start, you will likely need some ultrasound gel. This comes with some prenatal heart monitors, but with others you will need to purchase it separately.
Once you have the gel, you will need to apply a small amount to your abdomen. Next, take the sensor probe and rub it around gently on top of the gel with the unit turned on. You should soon be able to capture the sound of your baby's heartbeat.
It can be a bit difficult the first few times you use the monitor to find your baby's heartbeat, but generally after a few times using your baby heart monitor you will be able to find it quickly and with little trouble.
